The villa is actually a complex of three apartments and common swimming pool.  The structure dates back to the 18th century and was declared a national historical monument by the Greek Culture Ministry in 1985.

     The "Harem" apartment was just that.  It was used by the original owner, the Turkish General Commander of Crete, Moustafa Pasa and his wives during their stays in Chania.  There are twelve windows in the upper floor of this apartment.  

     The "Arches" apartment has three Venetian arches that are five metres tall.  This was the original sitting area and wine cellar.

     The "Bakery" apartment was the kitchen area of the complex.  The original wood-burning fireplace has been restored and can also be used as a fireplace.

     Each of the apartments has a fully equipped kitchen including microwaves, electric kettles and toasters.  The bathrooms all contain full-size tubs.  Ironing boards and irons are provided as well as free-standing air dryers for any washing up.  All of the apartments have either a fireplace or wood-burning stove as well as air-conditioning/heating units.
